1) Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concludes his five-days visit to the United States, where the Israeli leader has once again championed calls to limit the threats emanating from Iran, warning that unless the nuclear deal is fixed, it would pave the way for the Islamic Republic to attain nuclear weapon capabilities.
2) Israel’s military is bracing for a new wave of violent demonstrations and provocations along the country’s border with the Gaza Strip, ahead of Israel’s 70th independence days on the 14th of May, during which the United States will relocate its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
3) Syria’s army, together with its Iranian-backed allies, continue their offensive in the eastern Ghouta suburb of Damascus, as the Syrian government makes gains in the last rebel-held enclave adjacent to its capital.
