“70 Years ago in this hall, we realized that the future of the Jewish people lay in a state that they could call their own. The President asked me to be here today to remember the day when the United States of America joined 32 other nations to support the creation of a state of Israel. Our President is working tirelessly to strengthen the historic friendship between the United States and Israel. With the leadership of our President and the efforts of our Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, the days of Israel-bashing at the United Nations are over. And, while, for the past 20 years, Congress and successive Presidents have expressed a willingness to move our US Embassy, as we speak, President Donald Trump is actively considering when and how to move the American Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. If the world knows nothing else, the world will know this: America stands with Israel.”

Or, as United States Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, Sam Brownback once said,

“It is completely feasible to move the United States Embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. And, not only that, it is the responsible thing to do. The only place in the world where we don’t have our embassy in the nation’s capital is in Israel. And I think that’s a terrible statement on our part! Here’s one of our closest allies in the world and we don’t have our embassy in their nation’s capital. We can do it. We should do it. Now is the time to do it.”
