Italian Jews in the Holy Land

The community dates back to Roman times, after the destruction with the Second Temple in Jerusalem. In the modern period, the community flourished all the way up until the Second World War and the horrors of the Holocaust. The community’s art has been preserved in Jerusalem in a museum built in one of the most beautiful buildings in the Holy City. Our Shelby Weiner has the story.
